A DIVERSITY OF MARINE LIFE...
This collection of islands off the northern coast of Banderas Bay was made famous by Jacques Cousteau in the 1970's. With its variety of caves, reefs, and drop-offs combined with tropical fish, mantas, dolphins, turtles, and whales (December - April) this is one of the most popular areas in Western Mexico for scuba diving and snorkeling and also provides the chance to see humpback whales during the winter months. Beginner and certified divers can share the day with friends and family who do not scuba dive by taking advantage of our daily trips to the Marietas Islands. By combining your bookings, your non-diving friends can enjoy sea kayaking or snorkeling while you enjoy your underwater adventure in the crystal clear waters of the Mexican Pacific.

| About Diving with Vallarta Adventure | |
To participate in our diving programs divers need to be certified and hold a valid certification card. Certified divers who have not dived in the past 12 months will be required to take a refresher course. Non-certified divers can participate in dives at Las Marietas or at Las Caletas; however, they must complete a Vallarta Adventure Discover Scuba pool lesson before the day of their dive.
Certified divers are automatically entitled to participate in 2 tank dives. Non-certified divers will only be allowed a 1-tank dive. Beginner divers dive to a maximum depth of 40 ft and Certified divers up to a maximum of 60 ft. Advanced divers can dive to up to a maximum of 120 ft. Supervision is normally 1 Dive master to 3 diver pairs using the buddy system.
Diving within 24 hours of your flight home is not recommended. An Acknowledgement of Risk will need to be signed before participating in any of our dive programs. | | |
